I have the great pleasure of knowing this gorgeous couple for a number of years now. We met under nerdy circumstances – World of Warcraft, that is. Yeah, I play…. sometimes. Don’t judge me!
Jen is actually one of my favorite people on this planet. She’s an amazing soul and she’s been with Ryan longer than I’ve been with my husband! The idea for this shoot was born in August 2010 when Joe and I were on our way back from a weekend trip and there was a lot of traffic, so we took a side road. Joe told me to look to my right, and what I saw was an acreage bountiful with all kinds of amazing farm equipment. I couldn’t believe my eyes and my photographic brain started working right away. I knew I had to find a way to get a couple to frolic on the land. Turns out it was easier than I expected – the owner was incredibly kind. (Sometimes I’ll be nice and actually ask permission.)
I learned a lot during this session – for example, lightweight strobe stands topple over outside at the slightest wind. Oh well, problem solved for next time. ;)
