There are days where you really don’t want it to rain. Really, really don’t wait it to rain. Your wedding day, for example, especially when you really want to see those beautiful mountains we are so lucky to be so close to here in Alberta. Well, Erin and Khris’ ceremony didn’t happen outdoors as they had originally planned but you know what they say: after the rain comes the sun – and boy, was it beautiful. The sky opened up just as the ceremony finished up. Myself, on the other hand, if I could control the weather on the day of the wedding… I suppose I would be charging more than I am. ;)
I believe that the things we didn’t plan on, the things we were hoping to avoid, snags – the “bad” that happens during the day are really kindof humbling. It’s the nature of the wedding day – you can plan to the last minute but there’s always that chance that something might go askew. But the moment you look into your partner’s eyes, the moment you glance at that ring on your hand – and theirs – that’s the moment you remember that nothing else matters but this. You. Them. The day (whether it’s for better or for worse!) is what you’ve been waiting for is finally here.
