Gabrielle and Bobby’s cowboy style Engagement Session was during such amazing light during one summer evening that I can’t even take it. Though, to be honest, the one thing I COULD have taken along with me to this cowboy style Engagement Session was bug spray – the massive amounts of mosquitoes at the red barn was absolutely incredible, and yet these two sucked it up cowboy style and didn’t let that stop them from being completely awesome for their session. What you don’t see, and what I didn’t count, was just how many mosquitoes I had to edit out of each frame. Totally worth it, of course. ;)
For the remainder of the Engagement Session, Gabrielle and Bobby left their cowboy style hats and cowboy style boots aside for some lovely sunset over at Nose Hill Park. The final two photos were taken obviously much later in the night, and it was a night unlike any other… due to the supermoon! Now, believe me when I say if there was ANY night that I was hoping and wishing to have a completely clear sky… it was definitely this one. For those not in the know, a supermoon is when the moon is full/new and is at it’s closest orbit to the Earth. Fortunately, we were able to plan for this specific night to do the Engagement Session, and we are so lucky everything worked out perfectly. When we met back up at Nose Hill Park for this portion of the session, I couldn’t believe how many people were at this park with their families and their cameras. It felt like half of Calgary had parked itself at Nose Hill Park in the middle of the night to get a glimpse of this amazing phenomenon. And it was definitely the perfect night to see the moon in full, unobstructed view. This cowboy style couple will definitely agree. Enjoy. :)
