You can hardly go wrong with the Rockies. It’s truly amazing to live so close to these beautiful giants; thankfully, I meet wonderful people that feel the same! These two school teachers (with some amazing curly heads of hair – wow!) took to Canmore to get some great shots among the mountains. Check out their Rocky Mountain engagement session below!
Rebecca explains how she met Jason for the first time. “Jason joined the teaching staff at the school where I had been teaching for 5 years at the beginning of the 2012/2013 school year. While standing in line for the buffet at a staff lunch, our first conversation began with, “Hey, I’m Jason, I’ll be teaching Social Studies”, “Rebecca. Drama.”, “I bet you are!” We went on our first date the next day ;)”
As for their common interests, and what keeps them together, Rebecca writes, “We love anything outdoorsy, sitting in pubs playing board games, and having long conversations about anything and everything. We are just as much the same as we are different, and to quote Ani Difranco, “…there is strength in the differences between us and…there is comfort where we overlap.””
Rebecca shares a special memory about Jason’s two sons. “I met Jason’s two sons really early on in our relationship. He appreciated how at ease I was with them and I loved watching him in his role as a father. We knew we were making a bigger commitment than the average couple because of the boys. Instead of being scared of this, we rose to the challenge.”
