The Nortons are a family I’m very lucky to know and have been a part of since Sheila and Greg’s wedding day, which I was honored to photograph on my birthday — so you could say I could never forget their anniversary, even if one of them does. ;)
I normally host some kind of family photography special or contest around Mother’s Day, and Sheila entered her family in for 2015. By pure random draw, she won the contest for her family and we decided to head to the mountains for some adventures. It was quite possibly the most perfect day of the year — and it showed, as just about every place we went to was packed with families that had the same idea as us. Families were enjoying the warmth around the beautiful Quarry Lakes, and the Nortons brought their amazing dog Ophie to rip around the mountainside. We got to play on the “beach” and at the end of the session, we treated Ainsley (their daughter) to a playground, where the entire family joined in. What a perfect day for some fun Canmore family photos.
Honestly, one of the best family sessions I’ve had and what an amazing gift to give your family — to capture some memories with you and your children. :)
